The QR code links users to the dynamic NOAA Ocean Today cartoon that quickly and efficiently shares the information and actions to prevent second victim drownings and help those who see someone else in trouble. Available in English, Spanish and Samoan these information signs capture the key information and concepts in the Wave Safe series. These are designed to be used in areas where visitors can stop and read the information. Current signs also utililze QR codes to link users to the full Wave Safe series.

A series of unique place-based, on-site “Feet in the sand, Toes in the water” assets with minimal post-production work to produce a social media friendly library of educational pieces to supplement the international scale of the NOAA NWS Wave Safe series. The initiative includes community outreach to engage the local community in both the development of the Local Edition content and dissemination of the Wave Safe series assets throughout the local venues.
